You may be registered in a coaching program and wish to hone your skills, or you may be a certified coach seeking to pursue credentialing with the International Coach Federation (ICF). As a mentor coach, I partner with you for the purpose of increasing your mastery of the 8 ICF Core Coaching Competencies, a pre-requisite to becoming a credentialed coach. This includes areas of interpersonal effectiveness and personal growth related to coaching; embodying a coaching mindset, cultivating coaching presence, evoking awareness, and contributing to client growth.
In our work together, I will support you in setting goals that are aligned with the ICF credential level you aspire to obtain. My focus is to help you maximize your strengths, as well as overcome obstacles that might impede your progress as a successful coach. I will listen to you coach — recorded sessions — and provide both written and oral feedback in keeping with the IFC Core Coaching Competencies.
As a professional certified coach (PCC), I have worked with hundreds of participants in Concordia University’s Professional and Personal Coach Certificate program. Whether teaching, coaching or mentoring, my philosophy derives from the writings of Thich Nhat Hanh who offered — “A teacher cannot give you the truth. The truth is already in you. A teacher can only offer you the chance to awaken your true self” (Thich Nhat Hanh & Cheung, 2011, p. 18).
